Halls Outdoor Education

Halls Outdoor Education is a leading provider in the Outdoor Education space within Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales & South Australia with a mission of; “Inspiring Change Through Outdoor Experiences”.

Since 1994, we have successfully provided safe outdoor learning experiences developed for the curriculum and ethos of our clients to students ranging in age from 5 years old to 18-year-old year 12 students. We also provide great experiences to those who have left the education arena but still want to enjoy the thrill and achievement that comes with activities in the great outdoors.

This philosophy has enabled Halls Outdoor Education to cover an extensive range of outdoor educational activities.

Your Team:

We understand that not all teachers have the same passion about being out in the natural environment that we do. To ensure that your team come back from our programs with a sense of enjoyment and confident that the students have also gained a lot from the experience, we go out of our way to ensure that the teachers are comfortable and have an opportunity to connect with nature without being expected to be an “adventure junky”.

Risk Management:

We are always aware of the importance of ensuring that your students, your team and our team return from a program safely to go home to their families.

To ensure that this is the case, we have extremely robust Risk Management policies in place that cover all the activities that we deliver, covering everything from cooking on a Trangia stove to abseiling down a rock face.

Our Risk Management Documentation is extensive and copies of relevant documentation will be provided upon request to our clients prior to any programs.

For the safety of your students and team Halls Outdoor Education takes a dynamic approach to risk management, constantly updating and refining our risk management policies and practices. We are proud that since the start of operation, Halls have not had a major incident affecting either our clients or our staff

Child Protection Policy:

Halls Outdoor Education is committed to child safety, participation and empowerment of children and have a comprehensive Child Safety policy in place.

We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our robust policies and procedures.

We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety, which we follow rigorously.

We are committed to preventing child abuse and identifying risks early, and removing and reducing these risks and in support has robust human resources and recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers.
