rainee Position: Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership


Start your career in outdoor education as a trainee with Halls Outdoor Education. This 12 month full-time paid position will provide you with the theoretical and practical training towards obtaining your Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership.  While working as a Trainee at Halls Outdoor Education you will gain gain valuable experience in many aspects of the outdoor education industry.

Traineeships - General


Halls Outdoor Education industry partner, Outer Eastern Training Institute (OETI), offers both the Certificate III and IV in Outdoor Leadership. Both courses have a duration of 12 months where the trainee is employed at a work place and attends scheduled training blocks throughout the year. Trainees are required to have employment in the outdoor education field with examples such as schools, campsites or outdoor education providers. Trainees are paid according to the national training wage and are expected to do tasks relevant to the work place they are employed at.

Training often takes place on weekends and school holidays so there is little interruption to the working week. As the traineeship attracts funding for employers, there are rules which apply to applicants. An applicant must be an Australian Citizen.

The Lindsay Tait Award

Here at Hall's we also offer the Linsday Tait Scholarship Award to the most deserved trainee of the year. This is a monetary prize awarded to the certificate 3 trainee who demonstrates the attitude, demeanor and actions a great leader in the outdoors requires. Only one of these awards will be awarded at the end of each certificate III year.
